Cultural Diversity Resources is organizing its first one-day diversity
conference on August 12 (Tuesday) at Marriott Hotel. There are three tracks
focusing on the workplace, educators and the community. We have excellent
speakers (e.g. Doug Burgum, senior VP of Fargo Microsoft ) and presenters
(e.g. first Certified Diversity Professional , graduate from Cornell
University) to talk about a range of topics ranging from recruiting and
retaining a diverse workforce, cultural audits and how to design/develop
diversity initiatives, cultural competency in healthcare, demographics and
current trends to diversity 101. Continuing education units for social
worker and other professional are available. Recertification credits for
members of the Society of Human Resources Management and American Staffing
Association are also available. FM Human Resources Association has helped to
get at least five recertification credits from SHRM for its members.
