November 2 Candidate’s Forum

A collaborative of nonprofits, students, and community members have merged
forces to encourage people to participate in Democracy. This year the
Voter Collaborative was organized to work on nonpartisan activities to
increase voter turnout in the FM Community.

On Thursday, November 2, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, the Voter Collaborative is
hosting a Non-Partisan Legislative Forum of MN Senate District 9, House
District 9A and House District 9B Candidates. At the Moorhead Public High
School, New Commons Area, 300 4th Ave. S. Moorhead, MN (North West side of
School)

We believe that this will be a worthwhile event to promote Democracy
through Civic Engagement in our community. Young People, people with low
incomes and non-profit representatives have pooled their leadership and
will conduct a worthwhile event.

• Students from both Concordia and MSUM will facilitate the forum. •
Groups of nonprofits and college age adults have formulated questions for
the candidates that connect to vital community issues.
• Organizations will be bringing their constituents to ask questions of the
  candidates directly.
• The forum will educate people to vote, rather than simply getting them out
  to vote.

Candidates Invited to the Forum are District 9 Candidates Keith Langseth
and Paul Holle, District 9A Candidates Morrie Lanning and Diane
Wray-Williams, and District 9B Candidates Paul Marquuart and Angie Holle.

All Candidates have confirmed their attendance except Candidate Angie Holle.
