Voter Collaborative Notes
March 25, 2008
Present: PEPP staff
Well we can't get everybody all of the time I guess.
The debate and public forum was discussed and it has been proposed
that during the public forum part after the formal debate, we have
cards available for people to write down any questions they may have
for the debaters. We will ask people to sign their name to the
question so they can be recognized before the question is asked. The
judges would be responsible for both determining the questions and
asking them. We'll have time for approximately 4-5 questions. What are
your thoughts?
Heidi Uecker has agreed to be the facilitator. The media group was
discussed and we thought that Eric and Don would be good choices to
work with the media. I'll be contacting the two of them to get an
agreement and set up a meeting to talk about what your role is going
to be, should you agree.
We discussed what kind of a role organizations could have in this
work, and it was thought that the key roles for organizations in the
Collaborative is to have your name listed and promoting the event as
you can with your constituents, members, and allies. Again, the
debate will be held at the Century theater in the Memorial Union on
the NDSU campus
is that cool or what!? It will start at 6:30 - 8:00.
There will be a sign up sheet coming for tasks shortly.
The next meeting of the Voter Collaborative will be Tuesday April 1st
at 12:00 to 1:00.
We'll be discussing each of the Organizations plans for getting the
word out and what tasks during the set up and tear down your
organization can commit to.
