Esther Allen and I met and came up with the following committees for the =
organization.
At your next meeting you can talk about whether these cover everything =
the group wants to do, see if anything is missing and start getting =
people signed up for the committees.
Esther and I are both out of town for the next meeting which I think is =
July 13??

Women's Political Action
Steering Committee: made up of officers and committee chairs; oversees =
work of the group
a.. Budget/finance committee: develop a budget for the organization =
and recommend sources of income
b.. Volunteer recruitment/membership committee: recruit people to work =
in the organization and on campaign committees; develop an =
interest/talent profile for each member or volunteer
c.. Bylaws/structure committee: determine organizational structure and =
propose bylaws
d.. Candidate review committee: develop candidate criteria, interview =
candidates and recommend candidates to steering committee for =
endorsement
e.. Public Relations/marketing committee: develop and implement a plan =
to promote the organization in the community.
