WPA Members,
Just a few updates for you. I secured Gooseberry Park in Moorhead for
August 28th (a Sunday) for our Women's Equality Day Event.
Also, I met with Cecilee from Business and Professional Women. They
would like to co-sponsor the event!! Below is what the two of us came
up with (a tentative plan which is open to suggestions). We are
looking for a keynote speaker to talk on about the history of the Roe v
Wade decision. Cecilee has someone in mind (her name escapes me right
now) but suggestions are welcome. We would invite all the women
candidates to attend and incorporate them into the event somehow.
BPW has invited us to their next meeting to finalize the plans. They
are meeting Tuesday August 9th at the Windgate. I will get back to you
with the time and other details. We will of course be planning and
working on the event prior to that meeting.
If you have questions or concerns please contact me!!

19th Amendment Celebration: Salads & Suffragettes

Friday, August 26, 2005 is the 85th Anniversary of the passage the 19th

will
acknowledge this momentous event by gathering for an afternoon of salads,
discussion
and networking in Gooseberry Mound Park, 100 22 Ave. S., Moorhead, MN on
Sunday,

The keynote speaker will be _______________. Following the keynote address
at 3:00

provide
opportunities for networking and fun. We are asking participants to wear the
suffragette colors which would be white with a purple and gold/yellow
sash. Any
combination will do.

Tickets of $5 may be purchased by calling 491-3040, _______ or _______ .
